Our Summer activity programme has started

Summer has arrived at our Devonshire care home signalling the start of our programme of outdoor activities. The coming months will be packed full of exciting visits and summer themed events to keep our residents fit, healthy and stimulated.

Enjoying the gardens

Our popular gazebo has been erected for the summer months. The gazebo provides shelter from the strong summer sun whilst allowing our residents to immerse themselves in the beautiful surroundings of our manicured gardens.

Birds & other wildlife frolicking on The Moors provide our residents with hours of enjoyment and it isn’t uncommon to see a full house enjoying a cuppa under the garden gazebo.

Offsite visits planned

There are many historical places of interest within a stone’s throw of our care home’s location on The Moors. One of our resident’s favourites is a trip to Buckland Abbey.

Buckland Abbey is a former Cistercian abbey that was founded in 1278. The abbey is the former home of Sir Francis Drake, but today it’s one of the most popular historical sites in Devon. Our residents enjoy walking the grounds, exploring the museum and catching up over a cream tea in the popular café.
