Life at Hart Care: Special additions to the home

At Hart Care, we provide our residents with a level of care and support that helped us earn a glowing report during our last inspection by the Care Quality Commission in 2016. Since then we’ve continued to make our residents feel at home here, introducing some special additions to the care home. They include:

Weekly visits from a Hairdresser

Our residents can book an appointment to see our freelance hairdresser each week, helping them retain their independence and feel good about their appearance. Lots of our residents have struck up a good friendship with the hairdresser and the conversation is always enjoyed by both parties.

Regular visits from a Chiropodist

Chiro Podiatry has been proven to help improvement elderly patient’s movement dexterity and general quality of life, that’s why we have one visit the home regularly. The Chiropodist gets glowing reviews from our residents and everyone loves welcoming them into the care home.

Jacuzzi & wet room

The jacuzzi is a luxury that you don’t often find in a care home, but ours is well loved by residents who enjoy relaxing in it with a book in hand. The wet room also allows residents with reduced movement to enjoy a relaxing soak.

The cinema room

Unlike most care home cinema rooms, ours is equipped with an authentic cinema projector and screen, which really adds to the nostalgia when we screen our residents favourite films. We also serve popcorn and other classic cinema snacks to emulate a real trip to the pictures.

We always aim to go above and beyond for our residents and sometimes it’s the little additions like the ones above that make all the difference to a residents time with us.
